
The Child Registration Certificate (B-Form) is an essential identity document issued to children under the age of 18 years in Pakistan. The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) updated the registration process and security features for the Child Registration Certificate (B-Form) in early 2025. The new changes aimed to improve identity verification and security.
The previously issued B-Form is still valid, but parents are advised to shift their child’s old CRC (B-Form) to the updated new CRC (B-Form). Parents can visit the nearest Nadra Office or apply online through PakID.
Updated Guidelines
According to the new guidelines, children who are under the age of 3 years do not need a photograph to apply for the Child Registration Certificate (B-Form). While, it is compulsory to provide a photograph for children who are 3 years old or older.
In addition, children who are 10 years of age or older will have their photographs and biometrics captured to register them in the NADRA system.

How to apply for B-form
To register your child for the first time with NADRA, you must have the child’s computerized birth certificate issued by the Union Council.
To apply for a B-Form, visit your nearest NADRA office with the child’s computerized birth certificate and bring the child, who is 3 years old or older. A blood relative (father, mother, sibling, or spouse) must accompany you to attest to the application with biometric verification.
If you have a previous B-Form (old version), convert it to a new B-Form by taking it to your nearest NADRA office with a blood relative (father, mother, sibling, or spouse) and any children who are 3 years old or older.
In case there is no blood relative available for biometric verification, then you can attest your application form from any government gazetted officer (above 16-scale), or for rural areas, the application form can be attest from Numberdar (or Lambardar).
