By expanding the slim series, Tecno has launched the Camon Slim smartphone that measures 6.39mm in thickness. The Camon Slim has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1224x2720px of resolution. Despite its slimness, the device has a 5600 mAh of huge battery with 60W of fast charging.
The device is paired with 8 GB of RAM with up to 256 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2 TB with a microSD card. The Camon Slim relies on the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate processor.
There is only one 50 MP Sony Lytia 600 main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, paired with an additional flicker sensor. The selfie is handled with a 32 MP front camera. There is a rare secondary LED panel integrated with the camera module, which features 354 mini-LEDs. For notifications, it tuned with 55 unique lighting effects.
The phone runs on the Android 16 operating system based on HiOS 16.2. It supports 4G LTE but not 5G. The Tecno Camon Slim features dual Dolby Atmos speakers, an infrared blaster, and NFC. It also has military-grade durability with high IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The New Mondrian color has a back panel that changes to blocks of yellow, green, and cyan when it is exposed to UV light. The Van Gogh Blue finish resembles the famous Starry Night painting with a modern matte look. The device is also available in Prism Black, Burgundy Red, and Jungle Green.
For now, the price structure and availability are under wraps by the company. Tecno will roll out the Camon Slim in various markets. Prices will be shared locally in the coming weeks.
